GENERAL SCOPE
Alloy UNS N05500 is a precipitation hardening version of Alloy 400 combining
good corrosion resistance with high strength, increased hardness, low
magnetic permeability and excellent cryogenic properties. Used widely in
marine environments, as Pump Shafts, Fasteners, Propeller Shafts, Rotor
Blades, Valve Trim, etc.
The alloy can also be
supplied in the solution annealed and age hardened condition.
