4 X Hydraulic Tip-up Furnaces each with 36,000 lb. (16,000 kg) capacity for bar and tubular products up to 35 feet in length

2 X 50,000 gallon Water and Polymer Quench Tanks each with High Powered Closed Loop Circulation, Agitation and Heat Exchangers

Fully Automated with Honeywell Software the furnaces can be remotely controlled from a central control room, or off-site location.

STRAIGHTENING

To support heat treatment and machining capabilities HOWCO GROUP has developed comprehensive straightening facilities.  With certain products this is an essential and cost-effective process which reduces machining set-up time by correcting straightness problems caused by heat treatment.

The equipment comprises a 400 ton press-type straightners for tubes and bars up to 10” diameter which can be straightened to a commercial tolerance of 1:500 or better.  A Multi-Roll Straightening Press is used for high volume mid-range bar and tube for tolerances of ¼” in 5 ft to API tolerances of  1/ 8” in 5 ft.
