General scope

Alloy 945 is a superior age-hardenable alloy designed to provide a combination of high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. It also protects against chloride stress-corrosion cracking as well as outstanding general corrosion resistance to reducing chemicals and aids resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and oxidizing environments.

As Alloy 945 is resistant to sulphide stress-corrosion cracking and stress cracking in H2S environments, it is suitable for down hole and surface gas well components. These applications include tubular products, valves, hangers, landing nipples, tool joints and packers. A945 can also be used for fasteners, pump shafting and high strength piping systems.

Mechanical properties

Condition: Solution Annealed and Age Hardened.

NACE MR0175 limits hardness to 34 - 42 HRC.
